Last year, she wrote a very, very rough draft of her first novel! The HC Williamson Scholarship is named after the late Mr. Williamson, a.k.a "Papaw," grandfather of Playing Grownup co-founder Amy Thomas. Papaw was larger than life as he enjoyed working on his farm in Southwest Virginia. He donated his time to the local community by faithfully serving on boards for businesses and churches. His legacy continues through his proud family and this scholarship.
The HC Thomas Scholarship is named after the late Mr. Thomas, grandfather of co-founder Justin Thomas. He enjoyed significant success as a furniture business entrepreneur and as an investor with a gift for picking stock investments. His hard-working personality was matched only by his generosity, love, and card playing skills. This scholarship is in honor of Grandad and his lasting legacy of investing into future generations.
